With 560 Roadkill Art App Members it's likely there are many you do not know. It's exciting to learn what others, who stop and picking up roadkill to consume or turn into art, do on a daily basis. There are some that are in the outdoor business making jewelry and other fashion items from roadkill, taxidermist, DNR agents, even authors and writers. Here is where we introduce you to others in the app and what they are doing. We would love to know what you do too, send us a little about yourself to roadkillart@roadkillart.us

Outdoor enthusiast Michael Wheaton has published his first book, Misadventures with Mets, a heartfelt reflection on his childhood outdoor adventures with his best friend, Mets. Growing up in Minnesota during the 1970s and 1980s, Michael paints vivid snapshots of adolescence fishing trips, icy mishaps, boyhood mischief.
Each story captures the spirit of growing up wild and curious, where every misstep becomes a lesson and every memory is laced with warmth, laughter, and the kind of friendship that stands the test of time. It’s nostalgic, honest, and deeply familiar to anyone who spent their youth outside until the streetlights—or the mosquitoes—sent them home.
Many of you in the Roadkill Art community also have your own unforgettable outdoor adventures, the kind that deserve to be told, shared, and maybe laughed about years later. Around here, stories from the great outdoors never get old… and neither do the lessons they leave behind.
Michael’s book is currently available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble, which is no small feat for a first-time author and well worth celebrating.
